Techworks Problem reported

An alternate path to HR & Financial functions is now available to support the needs of users who have encountered problems in using TechWorks since the May 14 upgrade:
1. Go to BuzzPort (buzzport.gatech.edu) and log in.
2. Click on the EMPLOYEE tab.
3. Click on the links in the new TechWorks Links channel to access Financial and HR applications.

NOTE: Users are advised to clear browser cache before attempting to user Buzzport.

If you are still unable to access needed functions through BuzzPort, please click here to help us track and resolve these issues.

Users who are not experiencing any problems in using TechWorks do not need to go through BuzzPort to access HR and Financial applications and are encouraged to continue to utilize Techworks normally.

The Techworks support team continues to actively working with the vendor to resolve the TechWorks user access issues. Until a root cause is determined, it is difficult to predict how long impacted users will be affected.

If you continue to have a problem with the black Nortel digital 3903 and 3904 telephone sets after last night's upgrade, unplug the gray phone cord from the back of the phone and plug it back in to reset it.

Border firewall code upgrade, Tuesday May 22.

We will be upgrading the border firewalls to 8.4(3) code. As they are a failover pair, network connectivity will not be affected. We have been running this same code elsewhere on campus for months and it is expected to fix some bugs.

eastnet1-fwsm code upgrade

We will be upgrading the code of eastnet1-fwsm on Tuesday May 22nd at 6am to version 4.1(9). This will be used to validate this version for future use elsewhere on campus. It fixes a number of software bugs. The outage will be 15 minutes and affect all Eastnet housing. -Firewall/VPN Team
